You woke up tired. Again.
Stiff neck. Pain. Fatigue that sleep doesn't fix.
You've been dealing with this for... how long now? Six months? A year?
At first, you tried everything:
- Bought an expensive ergonomic chair ($2,000). Used it for a month. No change.
- Did physical therapy for a few weeks. Felt better while doing it. Stopped because progress stalled.
- Used heating pads constantly. Nice while it's on. Doesn't last.
- Got occasional massages. Amazing for 2 hours. Back to normal by evening.
- Took over-the-counter pain meds daily. Just enough to get through work.
- Tried YouTube stretches. Followed them for a week. Then forgot.
So you just... adapted.
You worked around the pain. Changed how you sat. Avoided certain movements.
Popped ibuprofen before bed so you could sleep.
Your friends said: "You should really see a doctor about that."
You figured it wasn't "that bad." Tons of people have neck pain, right?
Everyone's got something.
You learned to live with it.
THEN THE OTHER SYMPTOMS STARTED SHOWING UP
This is where it got scary.
Your heart would race randomly. Out of nowhere. For no reason.
You'd wake up at 3 AM with that suffocating feeling — like something was sitting on your chest.
Random anxiety that made no sense. You'd be fine, then suddenly your heart's pounding and you can't catch your breath.
Then it passes. And you're back to normal.
Nausea that comes and goes. You'd be eating lunch and suddenly feel sick. Not enough to vomit. Just... wrong.
You couldn't sleep properly anymore. Even with melatonin. Even with a meditation app.
You'd get 8 hours but wake up exhausted. Like you never actually rested.
Your coworkers noticed: "You seem... off."
You weren't off. You were scared.
Because deep down, you KNOW these aren't random problems.
You KNOW they started around the same time your neck started bothering you.
But nobody's connecting these dots.
